Miss Reba and I share a few "life overlaps": We are both 61 years of age, country bred and have ties to Oklahoma (She was born & reared there. My late maternal Choctaw grandfather and his family came to North Texas from southern Oklahoma by covered wagon in 1909). The comparisons end there though, as McIntire has the looks and golden voice of an angel, while I am often mistaken for Mr. McGoo's older brother.
One other thing: Sometimes a powerful sermon is woven into a song. Miss Reba's "Back to God" is certainly this and more. Whenever I listen to it -- which is fairly often I must confess -- I can almost see the psalmist King David and legions of angels singing along with her.
